Die Luft der Freiheit weht – in Berlin!

Stanford University seal

Stanford undergraduate students have come to Berlin since 1975. During their immersive study abroad experience, they get to know Berlin, Germany and parts of the EU. “Die Luft der Freiheit weht” is the motto of Stanford University. It goes back to a saying by the German humanist Ulrich von Hutten (1488-1523) and is included, in German, in the university seal.
